
Senior Estimator

We are partnering with a well‑established custom manufacturer to hire a Manufacturing Estimator to support sheet metal based fabrication projects.
This role focuses on reviewing customer drawings, determining the most efficient manufacturing approach, and building accurate cost estimates for custom fabricated parts and assemblies.
This is a hands‑on, collaborative role working closely with engineering, production, vendors, and customers.
What you will do
Review customer prints and specifications
Analyze material, labor, machine time, and outside processing costs
Work with engineers and shop teams to confirm manufacturability
Communicate with vendors and suppliers for pricing
Decide whether parts should be produced in‑house or outsourced
Track quote vs actual job performance and adjust estimates as needed
Support projects from quote through initial production
What they are looking for
Experience estimating in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Experience with machining, welding, or powder coat is a plus
Comfortable managing multiple quotes at the same time
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
Proficiency with Excel and manufacturing software
Experience using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD tools
Work environment
On‑site manufacturing and shop environment
Fast‑paced, custom job shop setting
Close collaboration with engineering and production teams
