Insurance Customer Service Rep

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our insurance agency team. This role is ideal for someone beginning a career in the insurance industry who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and learning new skills. Training will be provided. The CSR supports clients, producers, and carriers by handling service requests, assisting with policy updates and claims, and ensuring excellent customer experiences. Key Responsibilities

Customer Support

Answer incoming calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries Assist clients with policy questions, billing inquiries, and coverage explanations Provide proof of insurance, ID cards, certificates of insurance, and policy documents Support clients with claims reporting and follow-up communication Policy Processing

Process policy changes and endorsements Prepare applications (both paper and digital) and renewal paperwork Maintain accurate client records and documentation in the agency management system. Review documents for completeness and accuracy Administrative Support

Assist producers with quoting and follow-ups Track pending items and ensure timely processing Perform general office and data entry tasks as needed Learning & Development

Complete required insurance training and licensing (if not already licensed) Develop knowledge of insurance products, coverage types, and agency procedures Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required College coursework or degree preferred but not required Experience

Prior customer service experience preferred (retail, hospitality, call center, etc.) Insurance experience is a plus but not required Licensing

Property & Casualty license preferred Must be willing and able to obtain license within 60–90 days of hire (if not currently licensed) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, professional phone presence Strong attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn and accept coaching
