Job Description
Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and professional Document Specialist (Service Operator) to join our onsite team in New York City. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This position requires in-office presence and offers an hourly rate of $16-19, based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
Operate copy machines, including utilizing advanced printing/copying software. Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as changing ink cartridges, loading paper, replacing toner waste and/or staple cartridges, and clearing paper jams. Process printing requests in both hard copy and digital formats. Deliver excellent customer service with a professional attitude. Work efficiently and meet set deadlines. Follow directives accurately and handle physical demands of the job. Operate binding equipment, including punchers, staplers, inserters, folders, paper cutters, spiral binding, velo-binding, GBC machines, and drill presses. Prepare documents for scanning: sort, count, remove staples/paperclips, insert separator sheets. Scan documents using flatbed, high-speed sheet-fed, and large-format scanners. Review scanned files for clarity, alignment, and completeness. Clean and maintain scanning equipment. Lift up to 40 lbs. as needed. Handle confidential documents with discretion. Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working directly in a print center. Proficiency in computer use, with strong skills in the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. Flexibility with scheduling and task prioritization. Shifts: Full time | 12:30pm-9:00pm On-Site New York City Office
The base Compensation range for this role will $16.00 To $19.00 and will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications. In addition to the base pay, this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus program.
