Key Responsibilities
Analyze customer Requests for Quote (RFQs), specifications, and blueprints to understand project requirements.
Calculate material, labor, and overhead costs using established methodologies and pricing tools.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to determine optimal manufacturing processes and lead times.
Prepare detailed and accurate price quotations, ensuring compliance with company pricing strategies and customer needs.
Utilize ERP or quoting software to generate, track, and manage all quotes and related documentation.
Communicate directly with customers to clarify requirements, provide updates, and address any quote-related inquiries.
Maintain accurate records of all quotes, revisions, and customer communications.
Recommended Qualifications
In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly) and their associated costs.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP systems and quoting software; advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical and mathematical abilities for accurate cost estimation and pricing.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with specific ERP/CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce) common in manufacturing.
Familiarity with CAD viewing software for reviewing technical drawings.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to our products (e.g., machining, welding, assembly).
Advanced Excel skills for complex data analysis and pricing models.
Knowledge of supply chain principles or material costing.
