We are collaborating with multiple companies in Kalamazoo seeking experienced Quoting Specialists. Review and analyze Request for Quotes (RFQs), blueprints, and specifications for manufacturability. Calculate detailed costs including materials, labor, overhead, and tooling for custom manufacturing projects. Develop accurate and competitive pricing strategies to ensure profitability and market competitiveness. Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to validate technical requirements and lead times. Prepare and present formal quotations, including terms, conditions, and delivery schedules to customers. Maintain comprehensive records of all quotes, revisions, and customer communications within the CRM/ERP system. Follow up on submitted quotes, negotiate pricing, and address customer inquiries or revisions promptly. Recommended Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in quoting, estimating, or sales support within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications. Strong mathematical and analytical skills for cost calculation and margin analysis. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and quote generation. Bonus Qualifications
Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex calculations and data analysis. Basic understanding of cost accounting principles.
