Review and analyze customer Request for Quotes (RFQs), blueprints, and specifications. Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales to gather technical and cost data. Calculate material, labor, tooling, and overhead costs to determine accurate pricing. Develop and prepare comprehensive, competitive, and timely customer quotations. Maintain accurate records of all quotes, pricing structures, and customer interactions. Communicate effectively with customers regarding quote status, revisions, and clarifications. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement within the quoting function. Recommended Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a quoting, estimating, or sales support role within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and material specifications. Strong mathematical and analytical skills for cost modeling, pricing, and margin analysis. Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and and external stakeholder interaction. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in quote preparation. Bonus Qualifications
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for interpreting technical drawings. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VBA and macro development. Demonstrated knowledge of specific manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, injection molding, fabrication).
