Key Responsibilities
Analyze customer Request for Quotes (RFQs), blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements.
Calculate accurate material, labor, tooling, and overhead costs for manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing teams to ensure manufacturability and obtain precise cost inputs.
Develop competitive pricing strategies, considering market conditions, profit margins, and customer value.
Prepare and submit detailed, professional quotations to customers within specified deadlines.
Maintain comprehensive records of all quotes, pricing data, and customer communications in the CRM/ERP system.
Follow up on submitted quotes to track status and assist in converting opportunities into orders.
Recommended Qualifications
2+ years of experience in quoting, estimating, or sales support within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
Strong mathematical and analytical skills for cost calculation, margin analysis, and pricing.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and quoting software; advanced Excel proficiency.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Dynamics 365)
Ability to interpret technical drawings or blueprints
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, assembly, fabrication)
Familiarity with cost accounting principles
Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., advanced Excel, Power BI)
