Key Responsibilities
Analyze Request for Quotations (RFQs), blueprints, and technical specifications to understand project requirements.
Calculate detailed material, labor, and overhead costs for manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
Prepare and issue formal price quotations and proposals to customers.
Maintain accurate records of all quotes, pricing data, and customer communications.
Follow up on submitted quotes, provide necessary revisions, and answer customer inquiries.
Utilize ERP systems and quoting software to manage pricing and generate reports.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience in a quoting or estimating role within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications.
Strong understanding of cost analysis, material costing, and labor estimation principles.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and quote generation.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for internal and external stakeholder interaction.
Bonus Qualifications
Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly).
Experience with ERP systems, particularly quoting or estimating modules.
Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and 3D CAD models.
Understanding of cost accounting principles and margin analysis.
