Position Overview The HR Advisor & Member Engagement Lead is a high-impact, member-facing role responsible for delivering HR guidance, leading peer roundtables, and strengthening member relationships.
The ideal candidate is both a strong HR practitioner and a relationship builder — someone who enjoys advising leaders, facilitating discussion, and serving as a trusted resource to business owners and HR professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for TEA’s HR Helpline.
Respond to member inquiries related to employee relations, compliance, policy interpretation, performance management, and best practices.
Provide practical and actionable guidance.
Identify trends in member needs and communicate insights to leadership.
Roundtable Leadership & Growth
Facilitate and grow TEA’s HR roundtables.
Recruit new participants and deepen engagement among current members.
Oversee peer discussions that create value and trust.
Identify opportunities to expand roundtable offerings based on member demand.
Member Engagement & Relationship Development
Build strong, ongoing relationships with TEA members.
Proactively connect with members to understand evolving HR needs.
Participate in select networking events to represent TEA.
Support retention and growth of membership through excellent service.
HR Projects & Strategic Support
Support TEA initiatives and member-driven projects as needed.
Collaborate internally with TEA leadership to align services with strategic priorities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of progressive, multi-faceted HR experience.
Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
Experience advising leaders or serving as an HR business partner.
Strong facilitation and group leadership skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365; familiarity with HRIS systems preferred.
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred (not required).
