Product Sales Manager

SUMMARY
The Product Manager is responsible for managing and growing packaging supply sales within the company’s existing customer base. This role serves as an internal product expert and primary point of contact for customers purchasing packaging supplies and corrugated-related products. The position combines inside sales, product management, and customer service responsibilities, including recommending solutions, answering product questions, entering orders, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of packaging supplies and/or corrugated products and is comfortable supporting customers in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
Manage and grow packaging supply sales within existing customer accounts through proactive inside sales and relationship management.
Serve as the internal subject matter expert on packaging supplies and corrugated-related products, advising customers on product selection and application.
Respond to customer inquiries regarding product specifications, pricing, availability, and appropriate packaging solutions.
Process and manage customer orders, ensuring accuracy in product selection, quantities, pricing, and delivery requirements.
Work closely with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to coordinate product availability, order fulfillment, and delivery timelines.
Identify opportunities to introduce additional packaging supply products that improve customer operations or increase account penetration.
Maintain accurate product and order information within the company’s ERP or order management system.
Assist customers with product-related troubleshooting, substitutions, or adjustments when supply or operational issues arise.
Support quoting activities for packaging supplies, ensuring pricing aligns with company guidelines and margin expectations.
Monitor customer purchasing patterns and proactively communicate with customers regarding inventory needs, lead times, and product alternatives.
Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from order placement through delivery.
Stay current on packaging supply products, industry trends, and manufacturing capabilities to effectively support customer needs.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience
3+ years of experience in packaging supplies, corrugated manufacturing, packaging distribution, or a related industry preferred
Strong knowledge of packaging supply products such as tapes, stretch film, strapping, protective packaging, and related materials preferred
Ability to recommend packaging solutions based on customer needs and product specifications
Comfortable working in an ERP or order management system
