Customer Service Representative
We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team on a contract to hire basis in Northlake, Illinois. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met and fostering strong relationships. This position requires excellent communication, multitasking abilities, and a basic understanding of manufacturing processes to support smooth operations. Corrugated experience is a huge plus. The salary range for this position is $20 to $25. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Hired contract/temporary professionals are also eligible to enroll in our company 401(k) plan. Responsibilities: Handle customer inquiries and orders, providing accurate estimates and entering them efficiently into the system. Address complex issues and escalations, ensuring timely resolutions for larger or more intricate accounts. Collaborate with production staff to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders, leveraging available systems and tools. Communicate with customers about order statuses, changes, quotations, confirmations, and any concerns or complaints. Process purchase orders, coordinate account credits, and maintain up-to-date customer information. Place timely orders for materials and supplies needed in production to maintain workflow. Foster strong customer relationships by providing consistent support and proactive communication. Work closely with manufacturing and shipping departments to align customer needs with operational capabilities. Ensure all customer interactions are handled professionally and align with company standards. Requirements: Proven experience in customer service or call center environments. Proficiency in handling inbound and outbound calls. Strong skills in order entry and processing. Ability to multitask and manage complex customer accounts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with manufacturing processes is preferred. Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
