
Direct Sales Agent

SBLI is looking to add several experienced life insurance agents to our growing Sales team!
The Direct Sales Agent is a fully-remote, phone-based, licensed insurance professional responsible for selling Term and Whole Life insurance to customers who contact SBLI through marketing channels, our website, or via telephone. This role does
not
involve cold calling — you will work with interested customers to help them find the right coverage for their needs.

Reports to: National Direct Sales Manager
Key Responsibilities
Conduct needs assessments and recommend suitable life insurance products.
Guide customers through the application process and ensure a smooth purchasing experience.
Follow up on leads, applications, and policies.
Collaborate with Sales Operations, New Business, and Underwriting teams.
Build strong customer relationships and support policyholder satisfaction.
Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to team goals.
Adhere to established sales workflows, compliance guidelines, and operational procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy throughout the sales process.
Maintain organized records and thoroughly document customer interactions, needs, and case details within Salesforce to ensure clear communication and continuity.
Qualifications
Licensing:
Active Life & Health Insurance license required.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Proven sales track record; experience with Term and Whole Life products preferred.
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about helping customers.
Ability to learn products, processes, and CRM systems (Salesforce knowledge preferred).
Strong problem-solving and relationship-building abilities.
Strong sales skills.
Ability to work fully remote.
