
Personal Lines/ Commercial Lines Account Manager

We are seeking experienced team members to fill the roles of Personal Lines Account Manager and Commercial Lines to service and manage an existing book of business within our independent insurance agency. This position is responsible for daily service work, renewals, remarketing, and client support for personal insurance accounts including home, auto, umbrella, and other personal coverages.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment. This role works closely with producers, company underwriters, and other service staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client retention.
Manage assigned book of accounts
Handle policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements
Review renewals and remarket accounts when needed to maintain competitive pricing and coverage
Provide coverage recommendations to clients based on their needs
Quote new business and rewrite business with multiple carriers
Prepare proposals and review coverage options with clients
Answer client questions regarding billing, claims, and coverage
Work with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, make changes, and resolve issues
Issue certificates, ID cards, binders, and policy documents
Maintain accurate documentation in the agency management system
Assist producers with new business quoting and service needs
Follow agency procedures for documentation, invoicing, and collections
Maintain strong relationships with carrier underwriters and service teams
Help maintain high retention on assigned book of business
Stay current on company guidelines, coverage changes, and industry updates
Participate in team meetings and training as needed
Manage assigned book of commercial lines accounts, primarily small to mid-size business clients
Handle renewal process from start to finish, including:
Reviewing current coverage Gathering updated information from client Marketing to carriers when needed Preparing proposals Binding coverage and issuing certificates / policies
Provide prompt, professional service to clients by phone, email, and in person Answer coverage questions and explain policy changes to clients Make coverage recommendations based on client needs and exposures Work with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, endorsements, and underwriting approvals Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system Process endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, audits, and billing questions Prepare certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, and other policy documents Assist producers with new business submissions and quoting Maintain strong relationships with company underwriters and carrier partners Follow agency procedures for documentation, invoicing, and collections Help maintain high client retention on assigned accounts Attend team meetings and training as required About Our Agency

3+ years experience in a Property & Casualty insurance agency preferred Active Property & Casualty license required Experience with personal lines coverages or commercial lines coverages Experience working with an Agency Management System (AMS360, Applied, EZLynx, HawkSoft, or similar) Comfortable working with multiple carrier websites and rating systems Strong attention to detail Good communication and customer service skills Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time Microsoft Office experience required Preferred Traits
