Job Description

Responsible for improving overall business performance and building internal CI capabilities while initiating, leading and/or supporting the implementation of improvement activities on an ongoing basis. Responsibilities

Challenge systems and the status quo: Work closely with plant leadership and front-line teams to challenge the status quo of how we currently manage the business and improve systems and processes using continuous improvement tools, strategies, methodologies, and techniques. Coach, mentor, and guide: Coach, mentor, and guide facility operations leadership through front-line employees in the use of CI tools, strategies, techniques, and improve problem solving capabilities. Engage employees at all levels to focus on the process to drive SQDC results. Build organizational CI capability by transferring CI knowledge to others through hands‑on coaching during projects/activities and by mentoring others on a one‑on‑one basis (e.g., CI associates). Project management: Manage project priorities and deliverables throughout the business units based on organizational vision and constantly changing business needs. Lead both tactical and strategic improvement projects and/or activities that drive Operational Excellence and deliver sustainable results. Strategy deployment: Work closely and partner with facility leadership to jointly develop stretch annual facility objectives, strategies and plans (OSPs) that deliver sustained SQDC results. Qualifications

Bachelor of Science (preferably in a technical field, e.g., engineering) or comparable professional experience. 5 years minimum in a plant setting (preferably at least 2 years supervisory experience) and 3 years minimum in a CI‑type role with demonstrated success applying CI tools/techniques (e.g., Lean, 6 Sigma, TPM) at the shop floor level (preferably in a process industry). Expert in Lean Manufacturing (i.e., Toyota Production System) and/or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Proficient with industrial engineering tools/techniques. Problem solving, communicating with others (oral & written), operations analysis. Positively influence and motivate others, effective coach/mentor to others, capable of building effective teams.
