
Federal Tax Manager

has partnered with a growing, globally expanding, mid-sized financial services organization to help them identify a dynamic Tax Manager. The Tax Manager position is newly created and will serve as a key liaison between internal leadership and external tax advisors, ensuring effective coordination of tax matters related to international expansion, M&A activity, and partnership structures. This position is ideal for a strong federal tax professional with partnership expertise who is interested in expanding their exposure to international tax and operational oversight. Key Responsibilities
International Tax Oversight & Coordination
Manage relationships with external advisors (e.g., PwC, KPMG, EY, Deloitte) supporting international entities Oversee outsourced tax processes across UK and EU jurisdictions to ensure timely and accurate deliverables Coordinate with in-country consultants and ensure alignment with U.S. reporting requirements Monitor international compliance and ensure nothing is missed from a GAAP and reporting perspective M&A & Transaction Support
Partner with leadership on tax aspects of acquisitions and integration Review and analyze step plans related to acquisitions Assist with structuring considerations and tax implications of M&A transactions Support due diligence efforts and post‑acquisition integration from a tax perspective Support federal tax matters with a focus on partnership structures Work with tax basis calculations and partnership‑specific technical issues Collaborate on federal compliance as the company brings certain processes in-house Provision & Compliance Support
Assist with tax provision work Support the transition of compliance work from external providers to internal teams Ensure accurate reporting and coordination between provision and compliance activities Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation a plus) CPA preferred 5+ years of relevant tax experience (public accounting and/or industry) Strong experience in
federal partnership taxation
(required) Experience reviewing or preparing partnership returns Exposure to M&A transactions and acquisition structuring Familiarity with international tax concepts and working with global entities (hands‑on 5471 expertise not required) Experience coordinating with external advisors and managing outsourced processes Preferred Profile
