The part-time Senior Human Resources Generalist is a strategic partner providing a full range of human resources services for AMIkids Programs. This role promotes AMIkids’ policies, procedures, and practices while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment regulations. The Senior HR Generalist requires a strong focus on employee relations, providing expert guidance, managing complex workplace matters, and proactively driving initiatives that enhance engagement, retention, and organizational culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex employee relations issues, including investigations, grievances, conflict resolution, and crisis management
Partner with all levels of management on HR‑related matters to ensure consistent, fair, and balanced administration of policies and practices
Provide proactive HR guidance, interpretation, and support to Team Members and leaders
Align business objectives with Team Members and leadership to support organizational goals
Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, promoting a culture of fairness, accountability, and respect
Proactively identify employee relations trends and develop strategies to improve engagement, retention, and workplace culture
Coach and support leaders in handling performance concerns, disciplinary actions, and sensitive employee matters
Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation efforts to strengthen team dynamics and minimize workplace disruption
Lead strategic HR initiatives that drive Team Member engagement, retention, and performance improvement
Identify trends and develop strategies to convert insights into results‑driven action
Provide change management support to leaders and teams
Ensure HR processes and reporting align with AMIkids’ strategic goals and comply with local, state, and federal laws
Maintain compliance with employment regulations and support audits
Conduct compliance training and partner with leadership to reinforce required Team Member training
Review and provide guidance on performance evaluations; assist with writing and updating job descriptions
Design and implement process improvements to enhance HR service delivery and operational efficiency
Represent HR in cross‑functional leadership meetings and initiatives
Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to provide actionable insights to leadership
Act as a change agent to foster a positive, engaging, and high‑performing work environment
Travel as required for work‑related duties
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience
PHR or SHRM‑CP certification preferred
Multi‑state HR experience preferred
Key Competencies
Strong expertise in employee relations, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution
Ability to navigate complex and sensitive situations with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Solid analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities
Strong organizational, presentation, and time‑management skills
