The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full-time Housing Management Specialist (GS-1173-09) to work at Joint Base Andrews, MD.

Salary $70,623 - $91,815

A bachelor’s degree and professional housing certification are desirable.

A valid

motor vehicle operator’s license

is required to drive an automobile to and from housing units, on and off base.

This position has been designated by the Air Force as a

Testing Designated Position

(TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.

Knowledge in the application of housing property management principles, concepts, and methodologies.

Knowledge of Federal, DoD, USAF, and MAJCOM housing and furnishings management principles, theory, policies, directives, and procedures.

Knowledge of the principles of construction, contract acquisition, and program management.

Knowledge of appropriated fund budget system and common business accounting principles and procedures and generally accepted financial management principles and standards.

Ability to analyze interrelated issues of effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity, and develop recommendations to solve problems.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specification to verify construction is adhering to plans and specifications.

3-5 years’ experience requested.

Similar Job Titles/Fields of Study/Skills Manages daily work associated with the operations and utilization of privatized housing. Acts as liaison between property management, tenants, Private Organization and all applicable agencies in support of the project. Reviews reports, budgets, and disbursements of the fiduciary aspects of the installation housing privatization project.
