Summary
The Athletic Communications Manager provides assistance to the Director of Athletics Communications in the areas of sports publicity, media relations, game management, publications, and website maintenance.

Essential Functions
Coordinate the department’s broadcast program, including hiring, training, and scheduling personnel, and developing a master schedule.
Train and supervise student crews for public address and statistics.
Write releases, post-game reports, and other media documents to publicize Barry University athletics; maintain contact with local, regional, and national media.
Design, edit, and write departmental publications
Assist with the maintenance of the ICA website
Develops marketing and promotion strategies to enhance and increase ticket sales, community engagement, alumni participation, sponsorships, and donor contributions.
Qualifications/Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Sports Information, Sport Management, Journalism, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in Communications, or a related field, is preferred.
1-3 years of related experience is required.
Experience with Windows-based software, including desktop publishing, web publishing, statistical, and game management.
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
