What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Research and develop new methods for loss reserving
Prepare and coordinate analyses of monthly and quarterly loss reserves
Perform complex data analysis with minimal oversight
Evaluate analytical work done by others and make informed recommendations
Provide training and guidance to Actuarial Analysts
What is Required (Qualifications):
BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or a related area
At least 5 years of experience in statistical and actuarial analysis specifically in Commercial or Personal lines insurance
Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages (e.g., SQL, R, Python)
Strong analytical and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with actuarial analysis on Commercial Auto lines insurance
Effective computer programming skills
Proven problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
