MWR Supervisory Recreation Specialist (Sports/Athletics)

This position is located in the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department, Naval Base Ventura County. MWR is assigned the responsibility of providing comprehensive fitness, athletic and recreational programs and activities. These services are provided to the active duty, retirees, reservist, and their dependents and authorized civilian personnel at the Navy Installation.
Duties Requirements
Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background Investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
Some sitting, standing, walking, and driving of vehicles, are required in overseeing program and facilities
physical demands include: Stooping, stretching, and twisting when demonstrating physical techniques, teaching a fitness class or sports indoctrinations.
Varied work schedules are used to agree with special sporting events and sports tournaments
Due to outdoor events and aquatic operations incumbent may be exposed to extreme temperatures at various periods of time
