Order Entry Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Order Entry Specialist to support a portfolio of approximately 10 large OEM customers. This role focuses heavily on order processing, customer communication, and coordination between internal teams to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and enjoys being a key point of contact for customers. Key Responsibilities

Enter and manage customer orders accurately in the system Review purchase orders and invoices for accuracy and completeness Provide ongoing customer support related to orders, deliveries, pricing, and general inquiries Communicate primarily via email with customers, with limited phone interaction (approximately 10%) Review freight dates and proactively update customers on delivery timelines Track and trace orders through fulfillment and delivery Process, review, and follow up on customer invoices Prepare and provide customer quotes as needed Required Qualifications

2+ years of order entry experience Experience working in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of purchase orders and invoices Professional written and verbal customer communication skills Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and basic Excel Preferred Skills & Attributes

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving mindset Basic math skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and customers simultaneously Work Environment

Small office, family-oriented environment Cubicle-style workspace Equipment provided Direct reporting relationship to the CEO No weekend work; overtime only as needed Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carol Stream, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
