Job Summary The Phlebotomist - Floater (Patient Services Representative III) serves as a mobile healthcare professional responsible for blood specimen collection and patient interaction across multiple locations. This role emphasizes flexibility, technical expertise, and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
Provide direct patient interaction, fostering trust and confidence during specimen collection
Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing
Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Travel to multiple locations including patient service centers and physician offices as needed
Maintain a safe, professional, and compliant work environment
Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and staff
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Handle multiple priorities in high-volume settings
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong customer service experience
Keyboard and data entry skills
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
Nice-to-Have Experience
2+ years in a Patient Service Center environment
Medical assistant or paramedic training
Phlebotomy certification
