Somers Agency is seeking an Insurance Account / Marketing Manager to manage client relationships and oversee the marketing of client risks to our insurance carrier partners. This role is central to delivering exceptional service, coordinating communication between clients and carriers, and supporting the agency’s continued growth.
This position blends account management, client advocacy, and strategic marketing, making it ideal for someone who is organized, analytical, and client-focused.
Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service
Act as the primary point of contact between clients and insurance carriers
Market client risks to all agency carrier relationships
Prepare, present, and explain insurance quotes and coverage options to clients
Track, report, and analyze marketing results for agency leadership
Identify client needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions
Resolve client issues using effective problem-solving and negotiation skills
Develop strategies to enhance client satisfaction, retention, and agency growth
Support business development and cross-selling initiatives
Qualifications Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities
Experience in account management, customer service, or a related role
Proficiency in problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data for decision-making
Experience with insurance agency management systems; Applied EPIC preferred
Understanding of business development and client growth strategies
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred (not required)
Familiarity with the Greater Cleveland area, Lorain County, and local markets is a plus
