About The Role SoFi is seeking a highly analytical, strategic Direct Mail leader to own audience strategy, targeting, and performance optimization across our Direct Mail channel. This individual will drive the data strategy behind our campaigns — defining who we target, how we measure success, and how we continuously improve performance. They will translate business goals into measurable targeting frameworks, partner cross‑functionally to bring strategies to market, and deliver clear, actionable reporting that informs leadership decisions. This role requires a self‑starter who can operate independently, influence stakeholders, and drive measurable business impact in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in marketing, campaign strategy, or related account management field Experience leading targeting strategy and performance analysis for marketing campaigns (Direct Mail preferred) Strong analytical skills with experience working in Tableau and AI reporting tools Demonstrated ability to translate data into strategic recommendations Experience working cross‑functionally with Data Science, Marketing, and Product teams Financial services or credit experience preferred Personal Characteristics Operates with high ownership and accountability; takes full responsibility for outcomes, not just deliverables Comfortable making data‑driven decisions in ambiguity Influences cross‑functional stakeholders through clear communication and structured thinking Proactively identifies opportunities for optimization and challenges the status quo Thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and adapts quickly to change Balances strategic thinking with strong execution discipline Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset Passionate about financial products and improving member outcomes Core Responsibilities This role owns three key pillars: 1. Direct Mail Targeting & Audience Strategy Own end‑to‑end targeting strategy across prospect and member audiences Develop and evolve segmentation frameworks to drive improvements in response and other key KPIs Partner with Marketing Data Science team to define TAM sizing and performance expectations for each campaign Design and implement structured test‑and‑learn recommendations (holdouts, champion/challenger testing, incrementality analysis) Monitor product updates, risk changes, and competitive trends that may impact audience strategy Influence and gain alignment from cross‑functional stakeholders on campaign roadmaps Translate approved targeting strategies into executable campaign plans Ensure audience definitions, selection criteria, and data requirements are accurately implemented Partner closely with Data Science, Lifecycle, Martech, Engineering, and Project Management to bring Direct Mail campaigns to market Identify risks early and proactively adjust plans to protect performance Serve as the primary owner of targeting‑related decisions within Direct Mail 3. Attribution, Reporting & Performance Optimization Establish performance baselines and forecast expected outcomes Use AI‑powered analysis and automation to enhance reporting, forecasting, and decision‑making Own campaign performance reporting across key KPI Deliver weekly performance insights and monthly executive‑ready readouts Analyze audience‑level performance trends and continuously refine targeting strategies using real‑time insights to improve overall campaign results Proactively identify data‑driven opportunities to optimize, expand, or adjust campaign strategies to maximize performance and ROI What Success Looks Like Independently owns the Direct Mail targeting strategy workstream Drives measurable improvements in campaign performance Influences stakeholders without direct authority Anticipates performance risks and proactively adjusts strategy Establishes scalable frameworks, not just one‑off analyses Elevates reporting from descriptive to strategic and forward‑looking Compensation and Benefits Base pay range: $89,600.00 – $168,000.00.
