What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Sell cybersecurity solutions to State, Local, and Education (SLED) agencies, aiming to exceed annual recurring revenue quotas
Prospect and generate new business opportunities, ensuring a robust sales pipeline
Manage accounts from initial conversations through contract signing and upselling to existing customers
Document sales results and maintain accurate data across all sales systems
Act as a customer advocate with internal teams to prioritize efforts that drive revenue
What is Required (Qualifications)
Minimum of 2 years of direct sales experience in prospecting and closing SLED accounts
Proven track record of successfully closing new accounts and growing existing customer relationships
Strong negotiation skills with experience in complex sales processes
Consistent over-quota performance, ranking in the top 5% of the sales organization
Technical knowledge in cybersecurity, cloud, and related technologies; experience in selling subscription software/SaaS
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience working in a start-up environment or with early-stage companies
Familiarity with selling to CISOs and security personnel
BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
