Position Overview As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for selling vehicles by understanding and demonstrating their features and capabilities. You will develop buyer qualifications, close sales, and maintain strong customer relationships to promote customer loyalty.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet customers on the sales floor and identify their vehicle preferences.
Explain features and demonstrate vehicle operation in both the showroom and during test drives.
Recommend optional equipment and research its availability.
Collaborate with the Sales Manager to compute sales prices, including taxes, trade-in allowances, and financing options.
Prepare sales documents such as contracts and credit applications.
Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand vehicle operation, warranty, and related paperwork.
Maintain a system for prospect development and follow-up.
Stay knowledgeable about new products, features, and accessories.
Attend sales meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Meet or exceed sales targets and forecasts.
Physical Requirements
Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Occasional physical activities including reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Regular standing, talking, hearing, walking, and sitting.
Potential exposure to exhaust fumes.
Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds occasionally.
Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
