is seeking a

highly motivated and detail-oriented

Apartment Tax Credit Leasing Agent with experience in

LIHTC, Section 8, or HUD

programs.

Job Description:

The

Tax Credit Leasing Agent

serves as the community's primary liaison for prospective and current residents, ensuring compliance with

affordable housing regulations

while providing excellent customer service.

Job Duties:

Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including leasing apartments, processing applications, and preparing lease paperwork in compliance with

LIHTC, Section 8, and HUD guidelines .

Ensure all documentation is accurately completed and maintained to meet

affordable housing program requirements .

Greet prospective residents, assess their needs, and provide tours of the community while explaining

income qualifications and eligibility .

Conduct

income certifications, recertifications, and compliance reporting

as required.

Respond to in-person, phone, and email inquiries regarding leasing and eligibility requirements.

Assist in preparing and reviewing lease agreements, renewals, and notices while adhering to

Fair Housing regulations .

Work closely with property management and compliance teams to ensure all files meet audit standards.

Collect security deposits, rent payments, and provide receipts while maintaining accurate financial records.

Assist with completing weekly, monthly, and special reports as required by the

Community Manager .

Deliver exceptional customer service to all prospective and current residents, ensuring a

positive leasing experience .

Job Qualifications:

Minimum of 6-12 months of previous Tax Credit, Section 8, or HUD leasing experience .

Proficiency in property management software , preferably

Yardi, OneSite, or RealPage .

Strong understanding of

LIHTC, Section 8, and HUD compliance requirements .

Excellent

verbal and written communication

skills.

Detail-oriented with strong

organizational and multitasking

abilities.

Proficient in

Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) .

Ability to work a

flexible schedule , including weekends if needed.

Must be able to

tour the community , which includes walking the property and climbing stairs.

Strong

problem-solving and conflict-resolution

skills.
