Must have Men’s Wholesale Account Executive Experience (4+ years)
We are seeking a full-time Account Executive to own and grow key wholesale men’s apparel accounts across major department stores, off-price retailers and national retailers. This role is focused exclusively on the men’s business—from strategy and sell-in to in-season management and profitability.
Note: Recent, hands-on men’s apparel wholesale experience is required and non-negotiable.
What You’ll Do
- Own & Grow Men’s Wholesale Accounts
- Lead day-to-day management of assigned men’s apparel wholesale accounts, including major department stores and key national retailers.
- Develop and negotiate seasonal and annual sales and margin plans for core men’s categories (denim, knits, wovens, outerwear, suiting, casualwear, etc.).
- Track performance vs. shipment, sales, margin, and turn goals.
- Drive Sales & Present the Men’s Line
- Present the men’s seasonal line during markets, road trips, and line reviews.
- Build and sell assortments using history, rankings, and trend analysis specific to the men’s customer.
- Ensure assortments align with the overall men’s brand vision and each retailer’s floor strategy (denim, casual, tailored, athleisure, etc.).
- Planning, Forecasting & Inventory Management
- Partner with internal Planning to create preseason forecasts and in-season reforecasts.
- Analyze weekly and monthly selling, inventory, and shipment data by door/region to identify upside and risk.
- Recommend replenishment, reorders, and chase programs based on men’s style/color performance and emerging trends.
- In-Season Business Management
- Lead weekly selling reviews with Buyers and Planners.
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Customer Service, and Distribution to ensure compliance, on-time deliveries, and quick resolution of order issues.
- Conduct end-of-month and end-of-season hindsight analyses.
- Relationship Management & Market Intelligence
- Build strong, trusted relationships with Buyers, Planners, and senior merchant partners focused on the men’s apparel business.
- Regularly visit key doors to understand floor execution, competition, regional preferences, and customer response in men’s.
- Represent the brand at markets, trade shows, and account meetings, strengthening our position in men’s fashion.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 4–6+ years of wholesale sales/account management experience in the fashion industry.
- Direct, recent experience in MEN’S APPAREL wholesale is required (managing men’s accounts, men’s classifications, or men’s-focused brands).
- Proven success managing major department store or national retail accounts in fashion.
- Strong command of wholesale financials: open-to-buy, margin, IMU, turn, markdowns, and profitability levers.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability; comfortable working with selling reports and making data-driven decisions.
- Ability to travel as needed for markets, account meetings, and store visits.
