Body Shop Estimator

*Job Summary*
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our team at Legend Auto Body. In this in-person role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for customers needing collision repair estimates to assess damage, prepare accurate estimates, and ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damage and determine repair needs, utilizing advanced estimating software.
* Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates including parts, labor and paint costs, while ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines .
* Communicate clearly with customers providing clear explanation regarding estimates, repair procedures, costs and timelines.
* Collaborate closely with management and technicians to streamline repair processes and enhance operation efficiency.
* Maintain up to date knowledge of industry trends, repair techniques, and insurance protocols to ensure accurate and effective estimates.
*Requirements* *& Preferred Qualifications*
* Minimum of 2 years of experience as a body shop estimator or in a similar role within the automotive repair industry.
* Computer Knowledge
* Proficient in using CCC One and Mitchell estimating software with strong understanding of repair methodologies.
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate information clearly and professionally.
* Knowledge of insurance processes and the ability to work with different insurance carriers.
* Strong understanding of automotive repair processes, including structural and non-structural repairs.
* Familiarity with OEM specifications and guidelines for repair
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, team oriented environment.
* Strong problem solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing customer concerns.
