Job Summary We are seeking an experienced
Director of Development
to lead major gift fundraising initiatives and build strong relationships with donors. This role focuses on identifying, cultivating, and securing philanthropic contributions to support organizational priorities. The Director will collaborate with senior leadership, physicians, and board members to develop strategic fundraising efforts and drive donor engagement. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of
100–150 individual donors , focusing on gifts of
$10,000+
with an emphasis on
six-figure contributions . Identify, cultivate, and solicit new donor prospects while maintaining strong relationships with existing supporters. Work closely with physicians and leadership teams to expand
grateful patient fundraising opportunities . Develop and present compelling
fundraising proposals, reports, and donor communications . Conduct donor meetings, calls, and outreach activities to advance fundraising goals. Support and collaborate with the
Foundation Board and leadership team
on donor cultivation strategies. Assist in planning and executing
donor engagement and fundraising events . Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and activities in the
fundraising database . Develop a strong understanding of organizational programs and priorities to effectively communicate funding opportunities to donors. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree required,
master’s degree preferred . 5–10 years of development or fundraising experience
in a nonprofit setting, healthcare or hospital environment preferred. Strong
writing, communication, and analytical skills . Proven ability to manage donor relationships and secure major gifts. Ability to work collaboratively with leadership, physicians, and board members.
Compensation & Benefits Competitive
salary range: $127K – $191K
