Description
The Human Resources Generalist administers the daily operations of the HR department, including benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, employee relations, training, and compliance. This role partners closely with company leadership to support workforce planning, develop HR programs, and maintain a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
Manage HR operations including recruiting, onboarding, payroll coordination, benefits administration, training, and employee relations.
Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies, ensuring employees understand available benefits and enrollment processes.
Administer annual benefits enrollment periods by coordinating communications, assisting employees with enrollment questions, and ensuring accurate system updates.
Maintain employee benefit records and ensure accurate data entry and reporting within the HRIS system.
Manage full-cycle recruitment including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and hiring decisions.
Develop and implement onboarding processes that create positive first-day employee experience.
Partner with leadership and hiring managers to determine staffing needs and maintain a strong talent pipeline.
Act as a liaison between employees and benefits providers to resolve benefits-related questions or issues.
Maintain HRIS and applicant tracking systems to ensure accurate employee data and reporting.
Develop and maintain training materials in collaboration with department leaders.
Track employee certifications and compliance requirements and ensure deadlines are met.
Promote open communication and engagement initiatives that reinforce company values.
Support managers with employee performance management, disciplinary processes, and termination procedures when necessary.
Attend job fairs and industry networking events to promote employer branding and recruitment.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
3–5 years of Human Resources experience.
Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems, specifically Paylocity.
Experience administering employee benefits programs and supporting open enrollment processes.
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple HR initiatives simultaneously.
Strong training, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Experience working in hospitality or food and beverage industry preferred.
