
HR Generalist - Employee Relations

Imperial is seeking an organized, people‑focused HR Generalist – Employee Relations to support our Human Resources team across employee relations, recruiting coordination, onboarding, training logistics, and day‑to‑day HR administration. This role will play a key part in creating a positive employee experience by supporting production hiring efforts, coordinating new hire and employee events, assisting with onboarding processes, and helping ensure HR operations run smoothly across the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead all employee relations activities by handling employee questions, policy communication, documentation, and general HR follow‑up
Set up and manage the accountability and disciplinary process, educate supervisors on requirements, and ensure consistency throughout all companies
Organize employee meetings, engagement activities, town halls, Christmas parties, retirement parties, and other HR‑related programs
Assist with event setup and coordination, including room preparation, materials, food, beverages, and supply ordering
Create new procedures and documentation, train HR partners as needed
Partner with HR and hiring leaders to help screen and interview candidates for production
Maintain employee records and HR documentation with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
Use UKG to set up and monitor employee attendance and reporting
Help ensure HR processes are completed in a timely, organized, and employee‑friendly manner
What We Need
Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent work experience
2+ years experience in manufacturing or related environment is required
2+ years in employee relations and high accountability environments
Ability to travel to other plant locations as needed.
Prior factory supervision is a plus
Strong working knowledge of HR Law, Compliance, and related practices
People management experience is strongly preferred
Ability to navigate uncertain situations
Experience with UKG, HRIS platforms, or similar systems preferred
Strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Comfortable interacting with employees at all levels and supporting a positive employee experience
Strong communication skills, professionalism, and discretion with confidential information
Experience supporting onboarding, recruiting coordination, training events, or employee programs is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general administrative systems
Detail‑oriented with a hands‑on approach and willingness to support both strategic and administrative HR needs
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while working at a computer or workstation
Ability to use hands and fingers to operate standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and keyboards
Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via electronic communication
Occasional ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Ability to move throughout the facility, including walking, bending, and reaching as needed
Visual acuity sufficient to read screens, documents, and reports
