Job Title: Construction Field Superintendent
Pay rate: 55/HR
Position Summary
The Construction Field Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. This role serves as the primary on-site leader, managing construction crews, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring all work meets established quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily on-site construction activities and enforce compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
Serve as the contractor’s single point of contact for all field operations
Manage construction crews and coordinate subcontractors to maintain productivity and workflow
Lead and facilitate contractor toolbox meetings
Monitor project progress using scheduling tools and proactively identify and resolve potential issues
Utilize and interpret
P6 schedules
to prioritize and manage project timelines
Ensure all work is completed on time and within budget constraints
Maintain high-quality standards and ensure all workmanship meets project specifications
Read and interpret
Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Oversee and manage
critical crane lifts , including ensuring proper documentation and Safe Work Permits (SWP)
Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards, including
O2 clean requirements
Support turnaround (TAR) activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution of work
Review and approve contractor timesheets
Assist in resolving construction-related disputes and addressing client concerns
Support bid document preparation and assist in the development and vetting of job packages
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience)
Proven experience in construction supervision or project management
Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and industrial safety practices
Experience managing work in turnaround (TAR) environments
Working knowledge of
process piping, welding, and quality control (QC)
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and P&IDs
Experience with
Primavera P6 scheduling
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
