A global leader is seeking a
Director, Financial Reporting
to join its corporate accounting team. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing global financial reporting, technical accounting, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. Reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller, this individual will play a key role in consolidations, external reporting, technical accounting, and supporting strategic initiatives, including acquisitions. Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Consolidations
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation processes Oversee preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements Manage external audits and quarterly reviews Ensure compliance with SOX 404 and maintain strong internal controls Technical Accounting & Policy
Serve as a technical accounting expert on complex transactions (stock comp, leases, debt, FX, etc.) Lead implementation of new accounting standards Own and maintain global accounting policies Oversee goodwill and intangible impairment analyses Strategic & Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Legal to support accurate reporting and business insights Support M&A activity, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration Drive system and process improvements across reporting and consolidation Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required 10+ years of progressive experience (public accounting + industry preferred) Strong background in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and consolidations Experience with complex accounting transactions and internal controls (SOX) Proven leadership with a hands-on approach Strong communication and analytical skills Experience with Oracle, FCCS, or Workiva is a plus Why This Role
