A leading law firm is seeking a detail-oriented
Marketing Events Manager
to lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of a diverse portfolio of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events. This role partners closely with marketing, business development, and diversity initiatives teams to deliver high-impact, client-facing events aligned with firm objectives. Events include client dinners, webinars, roundtables, conferences, symposia, firm sponsorships, and social or sporting events. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment-managing multiple priorities from concept through post-event analysis.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end execution of client-facing events, including in-person and virtual formats
Coordinate event logistics with venues, vendors, A/V teams, and virtual platforms; oversee setup, speaker management, registration, and attendee experience
Partner with practice group leaders to define event goals, develop action plans, and track timelines, deliverables, and KPIs
Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development teams to ensure alignment across event strategies
Manage event budgets, track expenses, and evaluate post-event ROI and performance metrics
Oversee invitation strategy and execution using CRM and email marketing platforms to drive attendance
Operate and manage virtual event platforms (e.g., webinars, roundtables, on-demand sessions)
Build and maintain strong relationships with venues and vendors across key markets
Support diversity and inclusion initiatives through strategic event programming
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Design, Communications, Digital Marketing, Client Services, and IT
Oversee production of event materials, including invitations, signage, presentations, and branded collateral
Manage procurement and inventory of promotional items and client gifts
Maintain accurate event data, including attendee lists, budgets, vendor records, and reporting
Support post-event follow-up, including recap communications and business development outreach
Negotiate vendor contracts in collaboration with senior leadership
Stay current on industry trends and event best practices within professional services
Ensure confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism at all times
