A growing digital marketing team is seeking a
Digital Ads Specialist
to support retail search and performance media efforts. This role is focused on hands-on execution and optimization across
Google Ads and retail media platforms
within the CPG and/or grocery space.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical execution with strategic thinking, and can translate business goals into in-platform actions that drive measurable performance.
Responsibilities:
Execute campaign plans, manage budgets, and ensure pacing aligns with performance goals Hands-on management and optimization across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and retail media platforms (e.g., Instacart, Walmart, Target, Kroger, etc.) Develop and maintain structured testing roadmaps to improve performance and scale learnings across campaigns Analyze campaign performance and deliver clear, actionable insights Create ad-hoc reports that highlight key metrics and business impact Communicate performance, testing insights, and next steps to internal stakeholders and clients Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment across campaign strategy and execution Qualifications:
2+ years of hands-on digital advertising experience Experience with retail media platforms (Instacart, Walmart Connect, Target, Kroger, etc.) strongly preferred Strong understanding of paid search (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads) Ability to translate client or business needs into actionable campaign strategies Experience building and presenting performance reports with clear insights Strong analytical mindset with the ability to uncover the "why" behind performance trends High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Preferred Skills:
Agency experience Background in CPG or grocery-focused brands Exposure to both search and retail media ecosystems Additional Details:
Preference for candidates based in the NYC area (hybrid 2-3 days/week) Open to remote candidates if needed Occasional travel (1-2 times per year) may be required
Compensation:
$60,000 - $70,000 Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
