Position Summary
We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions while providing a positive customer experience in a wide variety of merchandise.
Responsibilities
Greets and interacts with all customers to develop a rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
Handles cash and negotiable items per established policies.
Answers incoming calls per company standards.
Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers.
Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
Successfully completes assigned training.
Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pulling).
Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
Can assist customers outside the building and retrieve products in exterior storage areas.
Minimum age 18 years.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficient with basic math calculations.
Cash handling experience preferred.
Willingness to work in multiple locations and flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Computer literate and able to operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
Benefits and Compensation
$11.00 to $13.00 per hour.
Commission on transactions up to 8 % (potentially $1.58 per hour above hourly rate).
