Description $12.00 to $15.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process! Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $1.00 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate works with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and handles customer inquiries and problem resolution. The role involves working with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Actual pay depends on work location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.

Performs non‑management open/close procedures.

Maintains the cleanliness, stocking, and display of the sales floor.

Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Handles all cash and negotiable items per established standards.

Answers incoming calls per company standards.

Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.

Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, using respectful and effective communication tools.

Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.

Successfully completes assigned training.

Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Willing and able to perform duties that require standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods in accordance with federal, state, and local law.

Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.

May be asked to assist customers outside the building if required.

Minimum age: 18 years old.

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

Strong desire to work, serve customers, and work with people; team‑oriented.

Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.

Proficient in basic math calculations.

Cash handling experience preferred.

Willingness to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.

Willingness to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed commission incentives are provided during the interview process.
