The Director of Restaurant Operations leads multi‑unit restaurant operations, team development, and operational performance. The role requires an experienced restaurant leader who can support floor managers while building scalable systems and ensuring consistent, high‑quality guest experiences across all locations.
Position Overview This role oversees all restaurant operations across multiple locations, with direct responsibility for guest experience, financial performance, operational consistency, and leadership development. The Director works closely with General Managers and leadership teams to ensure each location meets performance expectations while maintaining the brand’s hospitality standards. This position requires regular on‑site involvement in day‑to‑day operations.

Core Responsibilities
Direct operations across multiple restaurant locations
Ensure consistent service, hospitality, and operational standards across all locations
Conduct regular location visits to evaluate performance, culture, and guest experience
Support and coach General Managers and management teams
Monitor sales, labor, food cost, and overall profitability across locations
Review restaurant P&L statements and identify opportunities for improvement
Implement systems and processes that improve operational efficiency
Drive accountability for financial and operational performance
Recruit, mentor, and develop strong management teams
Establish clear expectations for leadership, accountability, and culture
Support training programs for both management and hourly staff
Build leadership pipelines and reduce turnover through strong development practices
Implement and maintain standard operating procedures across locations
Ensure compliance with health department, safety, and alcohol service regulations
Maintain consistent standards for cleanliness, food quality, and service execution
Identify operational improvements that increase efficiency and consistency
Coordinate with ownership and leadership on operational priorities and growth initiatives
Support planning for new locations, operational changes, and process improvements
Communicate operational challenges, risks, and opportunities clearly and proactively
Experience & Qualifications
7+ years of restaurant operations experience, preferably in Upscale Casual dining
3+ years of multi‑unit restaurant leadership experience
Strong understanding of restaurant financials, including P&L management
Proven experience developing General Managers and leadership teams
Strong operational systems mindset with the ability to scale processes
Experience in growth‑stage or multi‑location restaurant groups preferred
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
