Compensation
$13.45 to $15.95 per hour. Commission structure pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, potentially adding $1.00 per hour on top of hourly rate.

Position Summary We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. You greet, engage, and interact with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions for a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
Responsibilities
Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
Handles all cash and negotiable items per policy.
Answers incoming calls per company standards.
Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
Successfully completes the assigned training.
Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
May be asked to assist a customer outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
Minimum age 18 years old.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Basic math skills.
Cash handling experience preferred.
Ability to work in multiple locations as needed.
Willingness to work flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines.
Commission Plan Information The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission, based on the gross profit of their performance. More details will be provided during the interview process.
