Job Title
Full‑Time Retail Sales Associate (Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate)
Hourly wage: $14.00 to $15.00 per hour. Commission: up to 8% on transactions (average +$3.09 per hour) along with potential 2‑8% on pawn transactions.

Position Summary Entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in pawn store locations nationwide. The associate works with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides. Responsibilities include processing sales, loans, and other transactions, interacting with a variety of merchandise including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
Responsibilities
Greet and interact with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
Perform sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
Handle all cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
Answer incoming calls per company standards.
Effectively communicate to customers the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.
Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
Partner with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
Successfully complete assigned training.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
May be asked to assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
Minimum age: 18 years old.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
Cash handling experience preferred.
Willable to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
Must have ability to work a flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
Computer literate and able to operate Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Details will be provided during the interview process.
