Job Description
Anatomic Path Support Representative II - Las Vegas, NV, Monday to Friday, 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM, with rotational weekends
Pay range: $19.40+ per hour; Employee may be eligible to receive shift differential of 10% for some or all hours worked on second shift and 15% for some or all hours worked on third shift. Additional details on shift differential will be provided if an offer is extended.
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

The position provides general support for the Anatomic Pathology function.
Responsibilities
Filing and retrieval of slides as requested
Electronic recording of slides into Laboratory Information System (LIS)
Storage of laboratory records according to established record management protocol
May load/unload slides onto the Focal Point instrument
Manage process for requesting recuts, special stains and immunohistochemistrystains
May provide QA/QC documentation support
Participate in orientation and training of newly hired employees, as needed
Escalate complex customer issues to appropriate individuals/departments
Monitor and manage pending lists
May administer and track approved release of AP materials according to corporate policy
May place client calls as indicated in corporate Anatomic Pathology Report Notification SOP
Contact clients to request additional information
Handle incoming calls, responding in a professional and timely manner
Able to perform all AP Support Specialist I duties, as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required Work Experience: 1-3 years related experience
Physical and Mental Requirements:
The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.
Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.
Frequent walking and/or standing.
May be required to use a wide variety of manual tools and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all requiring significant manual dexterity.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of basic computer functions
Quest LIS knowledge is desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology is desirable
Skills:
Data Entry skills
Good clerical, organizational, phone and communication skills
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
