General Job Description: IES Residential is looking for motivated and dependable Residential Electrical Helpers to join our growing team in Las Cruces, NM. This is a great opportunity to start or grow your career in the electrical trade working on new home construction projects.

What You’ll Do
Assist electricians during rough‑in by measuring, cutting, and bending wire
Help install outlets, switches, lights, and fixtures
Carry, organize, and prepare materials for job completion
Maintain a clean and safe jobsite
Follow direction from licensed electricians and supervisors
Report unsafe conditions immediately
Qualifications Minimum Education: None
Minimum Years of Experience: 0-2
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Strong work ethic and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and take direction
Ability to pass safety training, background check, and drug screening
Preferred (But Not Required)
New Mexico Electrical Apprenticeship
Knowledge of NEC
Blueprint reading experience
Bilingual English/Spanish
Leadership potential
Work Environment
Active residential construction sites
Outdoor work in New Mexico weather conditions
Work in attics, crawl spaces, and framed structures
Use of ladders, hand tools, and power tools
Physical Requirements
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
Stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods
Perform repetitive motions using tools
Work at heights and in tight spaces when needed
License Required No license required.
