Excelcare at Egg Harbor is seeking an experienced and dedicated Food Service Director to lead our dietary department in a skilled nursing facility setting. In this role, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure high-quality meal service for our residents, and maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. The ideal candidate is organized, hands‑on, and passionate about providing nutritious meals that support the health and well‑being of our residents while leading a strong and collaborative team.

Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of food service operations, including meal planning, preparation, and delivery
Ensure compliance with state and federal dietary regulations
Manage inventory, food ordering, and department budgeting
Lead, train, and supervise dietary staff to maintain excellence in safety, service, and sanitation
Collaborate with dietitians and clinical teams to meet residents’ nutritional needs
Monitor food quality, presentation, and resident satisfaction
Maintain accurate documentation and participate in audits and inspections
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
Strong knowledge of dietary regulations and food safety standards
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred
ServSafe certification required or willingness to obtain
