Job Description
At Regions, the Relationship Banker I is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience, both on the cash line and on the phone, and contributing to improving the financial wellness of our customers. The role creates meaningful personal connections while processing transactions, identifying ways to meet customer needs, and assisting in resolving end‑to‑end service inquiries. This position requires tracking hours worked beyond 40 hours per week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The position is incentive eligible. Primary Responsibilities
Provide a consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line while handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other teller transactions. Answer customer inquiries about products and services, and fulfill basic servicing requests such as new/replacement cards, information changes, PIN resets, reordering checks, and basic problem resolution. Develop relationships with customers, staying informed about their relationship with the bank. Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM offerings. Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to aid in customer problem resolution. Refer customers to internal experts when more complex financial goals and needs are recognized. Follow all bank processes and procedures, adhere to applicable laws and regulations, and manage operational risks as delegated by the Branch Manager. Achieve branch targets by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance and perspective about Regions’ solutions. Conduct outbound calls using generated customer and prospect lead lists to educate customers about emerging technology and assist with meeting financial needs. Requirements
High School Diploma or GED. Availability to work Saturdays as needed. Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions. Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and electronically. Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds. Preferences
One (1) year of banking, cash‑handling, and/or customer‑service experience. Skills and Competencies
