Overview
This position serves as a Protocol & Events lead for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) business area, managing strategy, planning, communications and execution of high-visibility customer engagements, executive visits, ceremonies, internal recognitions and other executive-level events. These activities will span multiple MFC sites – primarily Dallas, Texas; Camden, Arkansas; and other central and southwestern U.S. locations. What You Will Be Doing
Design and deliver exceptional experiences that showcase Lockheed Martin’s values, capabilities and mission for both internal and external audiences. Oversee all aspects of VIP visits, customer engagements, ceremonies and special events across multiple MFC sites, primarily Dallas, Texas; Camden, Arkansas; and other central and southwestern U.S. locations. Create and execute communications and engagement strategies aligned with enterprise and MFC priorities. Develop communications plans supporting internal and external events. Advise senior leadership on protocol standards, international and domestic customs, compliance and best practices for engagement. Manage event budgets and vendor relationships to achieve cost-effective, high-impact outcomes. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing or related field. U.S. citizen eligible for a Secret security clearance. Willing and able to travel domestically as required (approximately 1–2 times a month). Proven track record planning and executing executive-level and high-profile events. Experience creating and implementing communications plans. Proficient with Microsoft Office and event/project management software. Preferred/Desired Skills
Understanding of Lockheed Martin’s customer base, technologies and business operations. Knowledge of protocol, ceremonial standards, and customer engagement strategies. Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills. Demonstrated budget management, vendor negotiation and logistical planning expertise. Previous experience in communications, protocol, business development or military liaison role is strongly preferred. Other Important Information
