Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience in a sales or partner role in the enterprise software or cloud space.
Experience with the cloud partner ecosystem (e.g., system integrators, service providers, or independent software vendors) serving SMBs.
Preferred qualifications
Experience managing partner growth and contributing to team culture through leadership skills, creativity, and collaboration.
Experience developing growth initiatives, achieving partner business goals, and using business reporting tools.
Experience running experiments, drawing conclusions, and building actionable plans based on data.
Familiarity with Google Cloud products.
Excellent organizational, project management, and executional capabilities, along with problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and entrepreneurial skill sets.
About the job Within Google Cloud, the Small and Medium Business (SMB) Partnerships team is driving rapid Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) growth via our global partner network.
As a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, you will drive Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) sales for small and medium businesses across global markets by working collaboratively with regional SMB partner leads, direct sales teams, and our extensive partner network. You will be the key point of contact for our top SMB partners, developing a deep understanding of partner growth drivers and identifying creative solutions to increase sales across various categories of Google Cloud partners. You will manage an ecosystem of partners, both directly and at scale, and partner with our direct sales team to build and execute growth initiatives.
The U.S. base salary range for this full‑time position is $177,000–$256,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Compensation details are determined by role, level, and location. Base salary reflects only base pay; bonus, equity, and benefits are additional. Benefits information is available through Google.
Responsibilities
Work directly with core sellers and channel partners to reach as many SMB accounts as possible with our Google Cloud solutions.
Own enablement, alignment, and introductions for our core sellers and drive prioritization of our Google Cloud portfolio across all sellers and corresponding channel partners.
Construct and execute a territory development plan.
Partner with Marketing, Customer Engineering, Customer Success, Channels, Product, and Engineering teams to understand customer needs and provide excellent customer experience.
Develop and drive pipelines to manage cycles from generation to customer onboarding and build long‑term relationships.
