As a Flooring Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing project requirements, providing accurate cost estimates, and contributing to the overall success of our projects. Conduct assessments to gather accurate measurements and evaluate flooring project requirements. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project specifications and expectations. Analyze blueprints and technical documents to determine material quantities and specifications. Utilize industry knowledge to select appropriate flooring materials and finishes for each project. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, considering labor, materials, and other project-related expenses. Work closely with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials. Keep abreast of industry trends, pricing, and new products to provide informed recommendations. Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in estimating or project management. Proven experience as a Flooring Estimator or similar role in the construction or flooring industry. Strong understanding of construction materials, installation techniques, and industry standards. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in estimating. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficient in relevant software for estimating and project management. Physical Requirements
Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at a time
