Director of Finance

Key Objectives / Role Responsibilities Lead all day-to-day accounting, billing, and financial operations Prepare month-end and year-end journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic planning Ensure GAAP compliance and manage all internal/external reporting requirements Serve as primary liaison for annual external audit and tax filings Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard organizational assets Supervise and mentor the Accounting Manager, supporting performance and process improvement Partner with leadership and attend Board Finance Committee meetings as needed
Desired Skills & Qualifications CPA required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (MBA preferred) 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial leadership experience Strong background in GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and audits Experience with payroll, A/P, A/R, and nonprofit or social service environments preferred Proficiency with MS Office, accounting systems (QuickBooks preferred), and billing/EHR systems a plus Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently
Salary Information $100k - $120k/year
