Job Description
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to gather necessary project details and ensure alignment on scope and budget. Analyze project requirements to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing. Maintain detailed records of all estimates, proposals, and project budgets for future reference. Provide support during the bidding process by preparing and submitting competitive proposals. Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and construction techniques to improve accuracy in cost estimation. Assist in the development of cost control measures and strategies for ongoing projects. A solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards in South Florida Proficiency in estimating software and tools to create accurate cost projections. Strong analytical and mathematical skills to evaluate project details and costs effectively. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. The ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
